Greek exhibition Ascen.tec / Elevator Technologies was successfully completed with highly satisfied visitors and exhibitors who have already renewed their participation for 2024.
Participants and visitors promised to meet again in 2024 after the success of the 2nd international exhibition Ascen.tec which took place from 3 to 5 June 2022 in Athens.
Ascen.tec gave the opportunity to leading manufacturers, importers and representatives of elevators to present their innovative technologies, products and solutions. At the same time key market players, institutes, scientists and technicians had the chance to analyze their views, to highlight the sector’s problems and propose solutions for a particularly critical and sensitive sector that deals with the physical integrity and safety of people.
The exhibition ended with all the participants agreeing that the elevator market has now its reference point!
The opening ceremony
The exhibition’s opening took place on the evening of the first day, in the presence of Greece’s politicians and representatives from organizations that support the exhibition under their auspices.
In the opening ceremony were addressed greetings by:

- George Kavathas, President of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen, And Merchants (GSEVEE)
- Anna Melanitou, member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Greek Architects (SADAS – PEA)
- Konstantinos Damigos, Vice President of Athens Chamber Of Small & Medium Industries
- Anastasios Kapnopolis, President of the Chamber Of Small And Medium Sized Industries Of Thessaloniki
- George Papamanolis Ntozas, President of Small And Medium Sized Industries Chamber of Piraeus
- George Vlasopoulos, President of the Panhellenic Federation of Elevator Manufacturers, Installation And Maintenance Experts
- Serafim Maousidis, General Secretary of the Panhellenic Federation of Electrical Contractors Associations
- Manos Kranidis, Secretary of the board of directors of the Ηellenic Property Federation and President of the Association of Property Owners of the Northern Suburbs of Athens.
Mrs. Zeta Founta Mourta, Head of Public Relations of the organizing company Technoekdotiki / T-Press opened the event and the Editor-in-Chief of Ecotec magazine Mr. Michalis Stathakopoulos undertook the coordination.
Ascen.tec Forum
Scientists, specialized companies and institutions exchanged views on common challenges during the three-day Ascen.tec Forum. The visitors had the opportunity to be informed about all the developments regarding the lift sector with topics such as “institutional and legal framework of the industry of the elevators”, “standards and certification” and “accessibility of people with disabilities”.
